Augmented reality overlays visual elements, sounds, and other sensory input onto real world seteting to enhance user experience. On the other hand Virtual reality is absolutely virtual and enhances fictional possibilities(actions) and realities. Metaverse would create a great and an advance sense of virtual presence and online interaction can become much closer to the experience of interacting in person compared to the computer and phones we have presently.
Metaverse Technology can be used in many things like meetings, virtual conferences, visiting a factory floor, on boarding new employee, or training. In fact, almost every HR and talent-related program can be redesigned for the Metaverse and if you wear 3D glasses, the Metaverse is fully immersive. In the metaverse, you’ll be able to do almost anything you can imagine to include; get together with friends and family, work, learn, play, shop, create — as well as completely new experiences that don’t really fit how we think about computers or phones today. ‘In this future, you will be able to teleport instantly as a hologram to be at the office without a commute, at a concert with friends and relatives, working teams etc’. Metaverse represents a convergence of digital and physical worlds and is expected to have far-reaching impacts in many sectors.
A simple way to look at the metaverse is as a parallel, virtual, world where users can have different identities, possessions and characters.
